B'desh crisis: Yunus govt accused of role in minority persecution; fanning India hate

Bangladesh Students League president Saddam Hussain accused the interim government and its leader Muhammad Yunus of encouraging anti-India rhetoric to appease extremist groups and cover up governance failures. He also criticised the return of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, calling it a backdoor deal that could deepen political polarisation and undermine democracy. The developments come amid continued mob killings, political unrest and heightened concerns over minority safety and law and order ahead of the February 17 general elections.
