Lalu 'blesses' Bihar strongman's wife with RJD ticket

Just a couple of days after the convicted criminal from Nawada district tied the knot during the ongoing "Kharmas", sources revealed that the 60-year-old influential figure managed to secure a ticket for his newlywed wife from Lalu Prasad's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Meanwhile, the JD(U) plans to nominate its incumbent candidate Rajiv Ranjan, also known as Lalan Singh, from the same constituency, setting the stage for an intriguing showdown in the upcoming "battle for Munger."

SC slams trial courts for seeking needless custody
