SC rejects plea of Indian held in Prague over Pannun plot
Supreme Court refuses to intervene in the case of Indian citizen Nikhil Gupta, arrested in the Czech Republic for conspiring to kill Sikh separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in the US. The court says it cannot pass directions as the matter is pending in a foreign court. Gupta, who was granted consular access initially, seeks legal aid and assistance from the Indian government and claims he is being falsely implicated. The court states that it is a sensitive matter and leaves it to the government to decide.
