Satta market gives clear majority to BJP in Rajasthan

Trends in Rajasthan's biggest satta bazar suggest an absolute majority to the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections. The bookies are offering odds of 1.25 to 1 for BJP winning 117 seats and for Congress not winning more than 70 seats. Many prominent leaders, including Ashok Gehlot, Vasundhara Raje, and Sachin Pilot, are predicted to win their respective seats. However, the fortunes of some leaders are uncertain due to rebels contesting against them, such as BJP's Balaknath and Narpat Singh Rajvi, and Congress' B D Kalla and Harish Chaudhary.

SC slams trial courts for seeking needless custody

The Supreme Court on Tuesday expressed shock over some trial courts not complying with its July 2022 order to be liberal and grant bail to accused in cases when custody is not needed.
