'India, Russia ink pacts for future units of Kudankulam nuclear plant'

India and Russia signed agreements related to the construction of future power generating units for the Kudankulam nuclear power plant in Tamil Nadu. The Kudankulam plant, built with Russian assistance, has been operating at its design capacity since 2016 and is expected to reach full capacity by 2027. The two countries also discussed collaborations in defense, nuclear power, and space, highlighting their strong partnership.
