Domestic LPG cylinder price slashed by Rs 200 in steepest-ever cut

The government on Tuesday slashed the price of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 200, the sharpest-ever reduction that will provide relief to more than 33 crore households amid high inflation, ahead of elections in five states, including politically crucial MP, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.

SC slams trial courts for seeking needless custody

The Supreme Court on Tuesday expressed shock over some trial courts not complying with its July 2022 order to be liberal and grant bail to accused in cases when custody is not needed.
