India, China disengage troops at PP-15, final verification awaited

India and China on Monday ‘virtually’ completed the troop disengagement at Patrolling Point-15 in the Gogra-Hot Springs area of eastern Ladakh, which India hopes will set the stage for further negotiations on the more crucial face-offs at the strategically-located Depsang Plains and Demchok. Sources, however, said there has been “a slight delay” in the overall disengagement process because the final physical verification is still to be carried out by the two sides.
