Rishi Sunak formally launches bid to become next UK PM

Infosys founder Narayana Murthy’s son-in-law Rishi Sunak formally declared his candidacy for the Conservative leadership contest on Friday, putting out a slick video with the tagline “Ready4Rishi” and changing his actual Twitter handle to “Ready For Rishi”.

SC slams trial courts for seeking needless custody

The Supreme Court on Tuesday expressed shock over some trial courts not complying with its July 2022 order to be liberal and grant bail to accused in cases when custody is not needed.
