Reasoned verdict 5 months late, SC nixes HC order

An unreasonably long time gap between passing an operative order and the reasoned judgement could result in quashing of the verdict as the Supreme Court has set aside the Allahabad high court's acquittal order in a murder case as the HC delivered its reasoned verdict five months after passing the short operative order to acquit the accused.
