Yogi calls on PM Modi, Shah, Rajnath to discuss UP cabinet

Poised for a second term after completing full five years in office, Yogi Adityanath’s leadership on Sunday received a reassertion of endorsement from PM Narendra Modi. "Met Yogi Adityanath Ji and congratulated him on the historic victory in the UP elections. In the last five years, he has worked tirelessly to fulfil the aspirations of the people," Modi tweeted after meeting Yogi in New Delhi.

SC slams trial courts for seeking needless custody

The Supreme Court on Tuesday expressed shock over some trial courts not complying with its July 2022 order to be liberal and grant bail to accused in cases when custody is not needed.
