For 1st time in vaccination drive, a gender & location equity

The mega vaccination drives in the past eight days saw an equitable distribution of doses for women and the rural population for the first time in the eight-month-old Covid-19 inoculation programme. In the August 31-September 6 week, 967 women for every 1,000 men took the Corona vaccine.

SC slams trial courts for seeking needless custody

The Supreme Court on Tuesday expressed shock over some trial courts not complying with its July 2022 order to be liberal and grant bail to accused in cases when custody is not needed.
